See you at your Local Farmer

It's Saturday morning, the kids are restless and you yourself are just itching to do something special. You know you should be working in the yard while the weather is nice, but what's the fun of that?
You know you need some groceries, and your preference is wholesome natural food that is grown locally by people you trust. Perhaps it's veggies from an area farmer, or meat from a local rancher. Why not load up the family and head to the local farmer's market?
This is our first year of doing farmer's markets at Belmont Springs Ranch. We have been doing the August markets in Laurel, (all but the first 2) this summer. It's been a lot of fun. We are learning so much and making lots of new friends. I didn't realize how much potential there is of positively impacting our customers and our business just by being there. From putting a face to a name, finding out about our website and delivery locations and that we even exist. It's been very eye opening.
I have always been more of a wallflower, and this has been very good for me, helping me overcome my some of my shyness. I'm getting more comfortable greeting people, making new friends and connections. I'm almost confident enough to start up conversations. ;-)
I'm learning to ask questions, and see what, you, my potential customer's concerns are, what you'd like to see us offer and how can we make your lives better. Finding out what is important to you and what would you like to see us offer. After all, this is all about serving your needs. That's why we are here.
Another thing that has been excellent, is learning all that goes into selling at a farmer's market. What we can do to be more organized and efficient, creating a seamless experience for ourselves and our customers. I've been taking notes each week and spending the following week making improvements. By the end of the market, we'll probably have all the bugs worked out and finally be ready to start! (ha-ha!)
We are excited for you to learn about us, our ranch and our website. We are working on building our email list so we can keep in touch with you all. We understand that trust is built by knowing a person. And if you get to know us, perhaps you'll give us the honor of serving you.
